Handcrafted in limited quantities
The collaboration between artist Yen Qin and Luzerne to create Dynasty brings together a unique artistic vision with the precision of expert tableware craftsmanship. The result is extraordinary tableware that represents both the soul of the artist and the legacy of fine porcelain making.
Each piece is handcrafted in small, limited quantities only to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The union of art and craft is central to the production process, with a commitment to maintaining artistic integrity at every stage and the expertise of skilled hands.
A palette designed to mix, match and elevate
In Peranakan culture, tradition and everyday life are experienced in joyful bursts of colour. Each hue in the Dynasty collection carries its own story, and together they evoke a sense of celebration—offering a selection that feels both enduring and refreshingly modern.
Peony Pink
A muted, graceful pink inspired by the peony, a flower long revered for its symbolism of prosperity, dignity, and beauty.
Pandan Green
A pale, tranquil green that echoes the tender leaves of pandan, a revered ingredient in Peranakan cuisine.
Auspicious Red
A deep crimson that radiates warmth and vitality. Red has long signified joy, prosperity, and protection in Chinese culture.
Toasted Coconut
A soft, inviting beige, recalling the golden hue of perfectly toasted coconut.
Ming Blue
A deep, timeless blue, reminiscent of the cobalt of blue-and-white ceramics used daily in Peranakan Chinese households.
Designed and created by ceramic artist Yen Qin
Yen Qin is the ceramic practice of Georgina Yen Qin Lee, a sixth-generation Peranakan Chinese artist from Melbourne, Australia. Through ceramics, Georgina reconnects with her Southeast Asian heritage, creating works that honour cultural identity within the context of contemporary life.
Her approach to ceramics goes beyond form and function, drawing deeply from the historical and cultural narratives of her ancestry to engage with the potential of cultural exchange—exploring the power of objects to transcend differences and foster understanding.
