A petaled 21cm plate featuring an embossed phoenix motif—long revered in Peranakan culture, frequently adorning its textiles and ceramics—symbolising abundance, prosperity and good fortune.

Delightful for small meals, sides, appetisers or desserts, as a serving plate for tapas or cheese, or a decorative dish for jewellery and small treasures.

Designed and developed by ceramic artist Georgina Yen Qin Lee in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Finely handcrafted by Luzerne.

Glaze: Ming Blue
A deep, timeless blue, reminiscent of the cobalt of blue-and-white ceramics used daily in Peranakan Chinese households. This utilitarian tableware was ubiquitous in everyday life, holding simple meals shared by family. Ming Blue carries a sense of continuity, a constant presence on the table—a reminder of the everyday moments that shape family traditions.

Note: Due to the nature of handmade ceramics and natural glazes, there will always be some difference and variation in the colours, finish and form from one piece to the next. These variations are considered “normal” and do not deem the product to be faulty.

Currently shipping within Australia only. For our friends around the world, worldwide shipping will be available in January 2025. Please sign up to our mailing list for early access.

  • Standard Post: Free shipping for all orders over $180. For all other orders $15.
  • Express Post: $15 for all orders over $180. For all other orders $30.
